Staff from JCW Group dug deep at the company’s recent annual black tie charity auction to raise £40,155 for Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).

Jamie Woods, CEO of JCW Group commented “Mental health and wellbeing is incredibly important to us as a business, and to me personally. To be able to work closely and support an organisation such as CALM, that does fantastic work for mental health, is a real privilege. I’m incredibly proud of the generosity everyone in our business showed at our recent charity auction, and I’m delighted to present them with a cheque for more than 40 thousand pounds.”

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling shit, standing up to stereotypes and standing together to show life is always worth living. 125 lives are lost every week to suicide. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this. They do it by provoking conversation,

Maria Kuzak, Senior Philanthropy Manager at CALM, said “We are delighted to be working with JCW Group. The charity auction was a huge success and we are so grateful for everyone who got involved and bid to raise these funds. The night raised enough to answer over 5,000 contacts on our helpline from people struggling and in crisis. At a time when our helpline is seeing growing demand this will mean we can be there for more people.”
